La Grande Bellezza [Lah Gran-day Bell-eights-ah] means “The Grand Beauty” in Italian. This composition of the perfect road, perfect trees, perfect colors and the perfect weather was truly the culmination of all the parts of my Tuscany experience all coming together at once. This moment in time defined to me, the Grand Beauty that Tuscany is all about. The muted tractor tending to his field. The Cypress-lined road leading to the beautiful Tuscan home atop the dual crop-planted hill. This is the true Tuscany in my heart. This image was captured in the Val D’Orcia area of Tuscany.
During his Sophomore year at University (January – June of 2014) Adam DeSerio decided to study abroad in Italy in order to discover the beautiful landscape of Tuscany and his Italian roots. He studied Art History, Creative Writing and the Italian Language. During his 3 day weekends in Italy, he traveled as often as he could, and set out on a 5 month quest to capture the true essence of Italy, not only in his mind but also with his camera. Italy is not just a place… it’s a way of life.
