This image was taken during one of the many workshops that Lou DeSerio offered. With a small group, they had been taking photos most of the afternoon. On the way out from the valley, east of the Superstition Mountains of Arizona, DeSerio looked in his rear-view mirror of the car and noticed light breaking and clouds gathering. Not wanting to miss an opportunity for a unique photograph, he stopped and set up his 4″ x 5″ view camera; and with only moments to spare, he captured this image before the light disappeared off the Saguaro Cactus in the foreground.
