This view was captured from the National Forest that surrounds the base of these famous formations. This area was the backdrop of many famous movies made in the Sedona area, from the late 1920’s till the late 1950’s. This photo was taken during the summer storm season as the sun broke through the clearing storm, leaving the landscape crisp and colorful.
