Lou DeSerio has a special access permit from the Navajo Indian Nation which allows him to visit, with nearly no restriction in Monument Valley, something most visitors could never obtain. This view is from deep in the Valley, off the beaten path, to provide a unique view of the Totem Pole formation; different from what is usually seen or captured by photographers that visit this dramatic area. Clouds and late afternoon light provide the drama that highlights the formation and allows it to stand out in the landscape.
