The autumn season for color change in Oak Creek Canyon can be over two months long. Due to a rapid change in elevation and temperature, the leaves start changing far into the Canyon, and usually by the first week of November they change color in the city of Sedona. This view is from our Gallery located in Hyatt Pinon Point on the corner of 89a and 179. One late afternoon, before leaving the gallery to go home, Lou DeSerio noticed that the light was really unique and could lend itself to capturing a spectacular moment of color and light with a perfect sky to fit the mood. This was captured just moments before the sun set, and disappeared from the trees in the foreground.
