In only a few minutes one can drive and be outside the city limits of Sedona. To get to this view one has to drive an unmaintained dirt road for several miles, hike through shrubs and over red rocks to an area that, during rain storms, fill with water and create wonderful reflections. Since the best time is very early in the morning and the road is very difficult to maneuver, Lou DeSerio left his house at 4:30am to be in position to catch the sunrise on the red rocks of Schnebly Hill, with very rich reflections in the shaded pools. After going up every day for a week, he eventually found the water was deep enough, the clouds were in position and the sunrise just right to capture this very rare moment.
