Il Ponte Vecchio [Eel Pawn-tay Veh-key-ohh] is the name of the famous bridge in Florence, Italy that is known for its unique design and beauty. It means “The Old Bridge” and is understood to have been built during Roman times. It is a colorful bridge that becomes even more colorful and interesting as the sun sets directly on it. During Adam DeSerio’s first 6 months of 2014, he studied abroad in Tuscany, Italy and often made a day trip to Florence. This was one of his favorite places to stand, and watch the water slowly pass underneath this old bridge, making him feel connected to the ancient history and times of Italy’s past.
