This dramatic interpretation of light, color and form was captured by Adam in the famous, Coyote Buttes area of the Arizona-Utah border in the Vermillian Cliffs region. Adam was only 13 yrs old at the time he took this photograph. Within months of taking this image he entered it into a photo contest with National Geographic Hands-On Explorer along with a 300 word essay. As the result of being one of the 15 winners selected out of 4,000 entries, Adam prize was two weeks in Australia with a team from National Geographic. Truly an experience of a lifetime and directly influenced his artistic direction.
