Just outside of Aspen, Colorado is Maroon Bells at the South end of Maroon Lake. Lou DeSerio went there in the middle of September and was a little early for the change in fall color. The surrounding area was all worth exploring and he returned about a week later to find the Aspens had peaked. During the night, a light snow fell and gave the peaks a fresh white covering. Early in the day, the lake was still quite calm and DeSerio captured this moment of balance, beauty, quiet and tranquility; making a moment that will live forever.
