Locals refer to it as “decorative” snow. No one shovels snow in Sedona, they only look at it. Snow can be very brief as the winter sun will melt it in a few hours. This vista is high on the Upper Red Rock Loop Road where there are views of Red Rocks and the vast expanse of the Verde Valley. Usually when the winter storms clear out, the sky is rich blue and the landscape crystal clear. Moments after such a magical moment, Lou DeSerio captured this image from one of the views along the road.
